Six Australian gins distilled at Walkamin, on the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland. Each one is built on a different selection of botanicals, some of them native, worked around juniper rather than in place of it.

Our Botanicals
The botanical selection changes from gin to gin, which is why the six read as six distinct gins rather than one recipe adjusted six ways. Northern Gem is built on Daintree vanilla, mango leaf and Nerada tea from the Atherton Tablelands. Ooray is built on Queensland Davidson's plum. Bushfire's botanicals are smoked before distillation.
Our Story
Botanic Australis began with one London dry style gin and now runs to six current expressions, from the house Original at 40% to Navy Strength at 57%.

Signature Serves
Original: lemon, mint, Indian tonic.
Northern Gem: grapefruit, basil, elderflower tonic.
Ooray: ruby grapefruit, thyme, light tonic.
Bushfire: grapefruit, rosemary, aromatic tonic.
Navy Strength: orange, cardamom, Mediterranean tonic.
Christmas: ginger ale, orange, cinnamon.

Taste the Gins at the Cellar Door
Open daily 10am to 6pm, closed public holidays. The gins are made here at Walkamin, and a guided tasting pours them alongside our rum and agave spirit.

Navy Strength Gin: Gin of the Year, Best in Show by Country (Australia) and a Gold Medal for Gin at the 2021 London Spirits Competition; Spirit Gold Outstanding for Distilled Dry Gin (Contemporary) at the 2022 IWSC.
Northern Gem Gin: a Gold Medal for Gin at the 2021 London Spirits Competition.
THE RANGE
Six current gins. Original is the house dry gin, Northern Gem the tropical one, Ooray the fruit led one, Bushfire the smoked one, Navy Strength the high proof one and Christmas the seasonal release.
